The Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) - CHC33015 addresses work in the community and/or residential facilities under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined organisation guidelines and service plans.
• Carry out activities to maintain personal care and/or other activities of living for people with a disability
• Carry out activities related to an individualised plan
• Report directly to a supervisor and are not responsible for other workers.

Course Structure and Resources
Course structure is flexible and can be tailored to both employer and student needs. There are a variety of delivery options including face to face, phone and or email dependant on your situation. All courses are competency based. All resources are supplied by METS.
Learners may have attained knowledge and skills in the workplace and/or competencies in one or more units. RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) is available for each unit of competency, based on relevant workplace experience, formal training or other expertise relative to the sector.
Conditions in the Workplace
It is required that you have a qualified person holding a Certificate IV or higher qualification in Disability to act as your practical supervisor during the course..
These arrangements are flexible and METS staff are available if you need any assistance with discussing the arrangements with your chosen organisation
Duration of the course
Trainees - 12 months for a fulltime employee or 24 months for a part time employee
Fee For Service (Self-Funded) – an enrolment period of 1 year will be given.
Trainees will need to have the full support of their employer for their training. METS will discuss responsibilities with your employer and then proceed to organise an Apprenticeship Centre to complete the necessary documents. METS will then begin the enrolment process.

Fee for Fee For Service (Self-Funded) students pay a course fee.
Once we receive a completed enrolment form, an invoice is then generated. Alternnatively, a direct debit payment arrangement can also be set up. Call METS to discuss your payment options.
14 Units of Competency. All of these competencies must be successfully completed to gain the Certificate III in Disability (CHC30408).
